MASTERING PRESENTATIONS

AUDIENCE

All employees that work on small or large projects, team members, leaders, and managers.  This program is designed for any business person who wants to differentiate themselves and achieve more consistent results in their formal and informal presentations.

THE PROBLEM -- Nervousness, lack of executive presence and confidence, not setting context well, too much information, not knowing enough about listeners, ineffective visual support, and overcoming derailing comments or dilution of focus.

THE SOLUTION  -- This Personalized Communications Coaching program covers the major aspects of effective business communications and effective presenting including Content, Listener Adaptability, Interaction Management, and Behavioral Skills.

THE GOAL -- Inspire confidence, deliver ideas clearly and memorably, engage listeners, and handle questions seamlessly.

INQUIRY IN ACTION

AUDIENCE

Executives, leaders, and managers and employees that work on small or large project teams.

THE PROBLEM -- Our Ego, our Agendas, and our Assumptions get in the way and waste time resulting in lost opportunities for further business.

THE SOLUTION  -- We will look at the power of asking questions and specifically look at a handful of professions that heavily rely on questioning to be successful in their roles. We will look at inquiry as it relates to having difficult conversations and techniques to use to help display empathy and find resolution in the moment.  We will use these techniques to plan for meetings and strategize around the context, relationship, and communication style of our client.

THE GOAL -- Creating deeper relationships with our clients, new insights into our client’s business, and becoming a more trusted advisor.

RUNNING EFFECTIVE MEETINGS

AUDIENCE

All employees that work on small or large projects, team members, leaders, and managers.

THE PROBLEM -- Meetings lack context, take too long, are non-inclusive, dominated by one or two people, never run on time, have no accountability for action items, and have the wrong people in attendance.

THE SOLUTION  -- This interactive workshop provides the skills for planning, conducting, and participating in meetings effectively, as well as tools for following up on what happens at the meetings.

THE GOAL -- Plan effective meetings and useful agendas, learn how to facilitate and get participants engaged, hold participants more accountable to what has been agreed to, and promote inclusive communication in these meetings.

TEAM ENGAGEMENT AND PURPOSE

AUDIENCE

Executives, leaders, and managers and employees that work on small or large project teams.

THE PROBLEM -- Teams lack energy, collaboration, and creativity. If a team doesn’t have a purpose, they may rely on extrinsic motivations.  Without a “why” behind their work, employees lack motivation or deep connection to their work and can become isolated. They may play it safe, resist feedback, experience discord, or become stagnant.

THE SOLUTION  -- A purpose is not invented, but rather discovered through pointed questioning, listening, and reflection. With contributions from all team members, key themes are distilled into a succinct purpose statement. This program covers three key aspects of highly successful teams including:

1) Identifying purpose -- Telling the why as opposed to the what, for ourselves, and our clients. Rallying the group around a cause that is meaningful and emotional.
2) Building our own brand of leadership -- taking time to think about our leadership journey and style, focus on our strengths, and why people follow us.
3) What it takes to develop highly successful teams -- the ability to overcome obstacles and hurdles, set expectations, and appreciate one another.

THE GOAL -- Enhance collaboration, deepen relationships with each other and clients, have greater motivation and engagement, renew energy and creativity, and form identity with the team. Teams bring their A Team’s not “A” for available team.

Mario De Lecce,
Group Head
U.S. Technology Banking

"JD Communication Strategies training is hands down the best public speaking course I have ever taken... and I've tried them all. Whether you come from a corporate background or a small to medium sized business, people of all ranks and titles will benefit from this course. Jared and his team succinctly and effectively breaks down the science and art of handling our biggest fear - speaking to groups of people. I highly recommend his proven method for both the novice and most advanced public speaking individuals."

Alex Macmillan,
Developer and Planet Saver

“I've known Jared for more than five years, and was not surprised to see his professionalism in action. He was thoroughly prepared, engaging and knowledgeable and got everyone comfortably on their feet within minutes, with everyone's buy-in. The small group comprised both seasoned presenters and newbies. The environment was fun and supportive, with practical, timely and relevant feedback, along with useful collateral that included individual videos from each section of the workshop."
